It is a legal requirement that all gas appliances are installed and worked on by Gas Safe (formerly CORGI) registered engineers - Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, Section 2(1). When it comes to gas in your home it is simply not worth taking any risks. Turner Broom Gas and Heating is a Gas Safe registered company. We ensure that our engineers always work to the highest standards. Deciding which boiler to install in your property is an extremely important process. By calculating the size of each room we can help you decide which boiler is best suited to your needs. This will help maximise efficiency and minimise CO2 emissions.

New Boilers In London, most areas are subject to hard water. Over the years this can corrode the internal parts of boilers and can create limescale, similar to what you may find in a kettle. To protect against this happening in the future we install in-line limescale inhibitors, as standard, and free of charge (see pic left). This means that water is treated before it enters the boiler. Older system designs are often gravity fed. This allows the intake of air to the central heating system which can then oxidise within radiators and heating pipes, creating sludge deposits. Consequently, some radiators may not heat up properly or will take a very long time to heat up at all. When installing a new boiler you should have your system flushed and cleansed to get rid of any sludge that has built up over the years from oxidisation. A lot of cheaper boilers have a relatively short lifespan and will unfortunately break down after a certain amount of time. If there are several things wrong with an old boiler it may well be more economical to replace it with a new 'A-rated' high efficiency condensing boiler rather than replacing all the components individually. Another problem that can be experienced with boilers is incorrect installation. This can lead to unsafe situations with regards to carbon monoxide and gas escapes. At Turner Broom Gas and Heating we ensure that all of our installations meet the highest standards. To be extra safe, we even install a courtesy Carbon Monoxide Alarm (see pic left). |
